The Villa skipper was critical of Savage's tackle on his centre-back partner Ronny Johnsen during the dour 0-0 affair at St. Andrew's.
“He was lucky to stay on the pitch. The first was a completely stupid challenge, but he likes to do those things," the man with the infamous long-throw told Villa's official website, www.avfc.co.uk.
"I don’t know why, but for some reason he does and that’s the way he plays.
“It looked quite nasty on Mark. Then again on Ronny, it should have been a sending-off as well.
"I don’t want to complain, but he always gets away with it.”
