Blues go into the crunch game at Craven Cottage sitting in 18th place in the table, just one place and two points ahead of their hosts on Saturday but just one point behind both Reading and Bolton. "At the end of the day, Birmingham City will win an away game in the future and we plan that to be this Saturday," the Blues boss has said. "We're due, and we've done it before, although not as much as we'd have liked. Hence the position we're in. "We are where we are. We've got similar away records to the teams about us. "That's why we're all fighting this relegation scrap because a lot of us don't have the capacity to win away, the mentality or the experience, and we're always searching for a wee bit more quality. "But we'll win an away game in the future and it's our intention to do that this weekend. "If this team stay in the Premier League, it will be a fantastic achievement, as good as West Brom coming up or anyone in the Championship coming up.
"We said a few weeks ago that there were a few cup finals ahead but the next one is very important for us.
"People at the beginning of the season thought we'd end up getting relegated. If we can prove that wrong, it will be fantastic."
