The Dutch international has returned to training but the club confirmed on Tuesday that he is still not sure of being fit in time for the trip to Selhurst Park this Saturday.
Meanwhile, Australian wing-back Stan Lazaridis could be in line for a first team recall against Iain Dowie's side. Lazaridis has been sidelined with a thigh injury and has not played since limping out of the FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Leeds United back on January 8th.
