Benno, who has been at Blues for ten years now and celebrated a testimonial season last year, has failed to claim a regular starting role in Steve Bruce's side since the arrival of Maik Taylor from Fulham last summer.
The former Peterborough United keeper made just four starts last season and with Nico Vaesen back from his loan spell at Crystal Palace and likely to sign a new deal at the club he could find himself completely out of the frist team picture again at Blues - as was the case before Vaesen's knee injury forced him out of action for most of last season.
According to reports new Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell is monitoring Benno's position at Blues as he seeks a replacement for Paul Robinson but I'm sure plenty of other clubs are too - the 32-year-old was close to a loan move to Sheffield Utd during the last transfer window in January.
