King Kenny Up Against Old Club
Last updated : 15 January 2004 By Brian Cartlidge
Republic of Ireland international Cunningham spent almost eight years with The Dons after joining them for £650,000 from Millwall in 1994 and the pairing of the two sides will be the first time King Kenny has come up against his old side since his move to St. Andrew's in July 2002.
Wimbledon are currently anchored at the foot of the Nationwide First Division table but Blues record against The Dons is non too clever even though they have only played each other on eight occasions.
The last time the two sides met in the league at St. Andrews was just two years ago in January 2002 with the Dons taking all three points with a 2-0 victory.
The two sides have met just once in the FA Cup when, as the cup holders following their winning of the trophy in 1988, Wimbledon beat Blues 1-0 at The Shrine in a third round tie in January 1989.
