The 33-year-old Rebulic of Ireland international full-back is one of a number of Blues players out of contract at the end of the season and despite losing his place in manager Steve Bruces starting eleven earlier in the season the former Blackburn and Southampton defender has returned to the side for the last three league games and is hopeful of securing a deal that would see him finish his playing career at St. Andrew's.
"From my point of view, it would be great if I could have another year in the Premiership with Birmingham," said Kenna.
The club have said recently that all talks with players whose contracts are due to expire at the end of the season will be put on hold until we know what division we will be playing in next season.
