The Blues boss must consider whether or not to give Maik Taylor another chance between the sticks when Blues visit Anfield on Monday night.
The Northern Ireland international deputised for on loan keeper Joe Hart and kept a clean sheet in his first league game of the season against Manchester City last Sunday.
"I've not made a decision yet but Maik has given me a happy dilemma," McLeish told BBC Radio WM.
"I've discussed it already with my coaches and Dave Watson, my goalkeeping coach.
"Joe was out of the team by default.
"You can keep chopping and changing your goalkeepers and then you can get yourself in a bit of a muddle.
"I'm considering it carefully."
