The Blues midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury he sustained during the 2-2 home draw against Arsenal on 23rd February.
Kapo is expected to begin training with the first team squad again this week which could see him make a return to the squad for next weekend's home game against Manchester City.
His return will come as a timely boost for manager Alex McLeish who revealed on Saturday that he will be without James McFadden for the next three games as the Scotland international striker has undergone key-hole surgery on a knee injury.
