Johnno ponders Blues future

The Jamaica international, who still has one year of his contract to run at Blues, realises his chances of first team football are unlikely following the signings of Kenny Cunningham, Olivier Tebily and Matthew Upson over the last 12 months.

"It would be a big wrench to leave but it's come to the point where I've got to start playing again and making myself the No one priority," Johnno told the Birmingham Post.

"I got six starts last season and I can't face the prospect of the reserves, going to a place like Widnes rugby ground, and then not having a decent club to go to in the summer.

"I've got no problems whatsoever with the gaffer or the coaching staff but it's time to move on.

"I know Walsall have asked about me and they do appeal to me but it is in the hands of the gaffer and the board."
