The Blues striker has missed the last three games having sustained an ankle injury in the home win against Portsmouth on 19th August and it has failed to heal as quickly as first expected. "It's enough to keep him out for maybe another month.
"Jerome has had scans on the troubled area and the news isn't great," Blues boss Alex McLeish has said.
"It was one of those ligament-type injuries. He got a kick on his ankle and heel.
"It's a blow because Cameron was looking to show us that he's maturing into a Premier League player."
