Blues keeper Maik Taylor skippered the Northern Ireland side to their first win in 16 games with a 1-0 win against Estonia in Tallin. Lawrie Sanchez's side winning courtesy of a first half strike from Preston striker David Healy.

Wales: Robbie Savage

At The Ferenc Puskas Stadium in Budapest, Blues midfielder Robbie Savage completed the full ninety minutes for Wales in their win against Hungary. Mark Hughes' side coming from a goal down to win 2-1 with goals from Jason Koumas and Rob Earnshaw in an ill-tempered game that saw six players booked.

Savs wasn't amongst those booked although he was at the centre of some handbags-at-six-paces with Hungarian coach Lothar Matthuas at the final whistle! Same old Robbie then!!

Republic Of Ireland: Clinton Morrison & Kenny Cunningham

Closer to home in Dublin, Blues pair Kenny Cunningham and Clinton Morrison both played in the Republic of Ireland's dramatic last minute win against Czech Republic at Landsdowne Road. Leeds full-back Ian Harte opened the scoring for the Irish on 52 minutes but Liverpool striker Milan Baros equalised for the Czech
Republic with just nine minutes remaining. Spurs striker Robbie Keane however bagged a last minute winner for Brian Kerr's side. Cunningham played the full ninety minutes whilst Morrison was withdrawn 13 minutes from time.
