The Blues boss has so many injuries that, not for the first time this season, he could only name six, instead of seven, substitutes for the away fixture against Hull City at the weekend. "I can't believe the amount of injuries we have," the Blues manager has told the Birmingham Mail. "Is it bad luck? You look at things, you look at the training ground - are we doing something wrong? ''There's not a lot of muscle injuries, we've had a couple of recurring hamstrings. Is there a common denominator there? I don't really know. I really feel we've been served with a lot of bad luck. "We need to get players back. I hope there is light at the end of the tunnel. ''We are waiting on Cameron Jerome, Marcus Bent and Martin Taylor. We've had these guys out long term. David Murphy is now at a good level, Laim Ridgewell has defied logic. ''A result like the one against Hull gets everybody in an urgent mood to get off that treatment table. "It will shake up a few people at the club and it will urge them to want to be back and competing for their place."
Seb Larsson is the latest casualty with a hamstring injury meaning McLeish had to include young midfielder Ashley Sammons, who has no first team experience, amongst his substitutes for the match at The KC Stadium.
