Gold Plays Down Forssell Reports

Reports in Tuesdays tabloids had suggested that the Finland international striker was on his way back to St Andrew's on another season long loan deal but the Blues Chairman, whilst admitting that he would love that to be the case, has told both the Birmingham Evening Mail and BBC Radio West Midlands that no deal had been done between Blues and Chelsea.

Forssell began this season on a second season long loan deal at Blues having spent a successful full campaign at St. Andrew's the season before.

However, the Blues' Player of the Season 2003-04 returned to Chelsea in September to undergo a major knee operation and has only recently returned to the first team squad at Stamford Bridge.
