"Since the batch of new signings came in during the January transfer window we have had a phenomenal run once they had bedded in. "Of course, no-one is getting carried away and we mustn't believe we are better than we are but I couldn't be happier and I believe there is every reason for us to be optimistic. "At the start of the season we had the same targets as last season, looking to survive. We are Premiership new boys and it is our job to stay in the division. "Maybe now we can set aside our concerns about relegation and think about a place in the top half of the division. "I would like to see us get 30 points by Christmas and effectively make sure our Premiership status is intact."
"I am aware of the record over the last 19 games, which is in effect half a Premiership season, something like 43 points. You'd win the championship if you kept that up," said the Blues chairman.
