"Van Hooijdonk is not a possibility - it's pure speculation," said Gold.
Gold did, however, say that he was optimistic on Blues agreeing terms for Blackburn midfielder David Dunn.
"David Dunn is ongoing in negotiations. What you have there is a willing buyer and a willing seller," said the Blues chairman.
"When you have those situations there is every opportunity a deal will be done and we are keeping our fingers crossed it all goes through."
