Blues were expected to complete the signing of the 25-year-old striker some time this week but, after talks between Blues and the players agent, the deal now won't be concluded - reportedly because of Boyd's wage demands.
"It remains to be seen if it can be resurrected but at the moment it's unlikely," Blues boss Alex McLeish has said.
Now media reports are suggesting that Premier League side's Fulham and Sunderland have expressed an interest in signing the £4million rated striker.
