The Finland international striker, who has recently undergone a hernia operation, made a goalscoring appearance for the reserves side in their 3-2 win against Derby on Monday night and he is now hoping to be included in the 16-man squad for the game against Wigan at St Andrews on Saturday afternoon. "It's not a nothing injury and I had to take it on the chin, but compared to what I have been through in recent years, I would settle for this every day," Forssell told the Birmingham Mail. "It felt good to be playing again on Monday and I hope that I can be considered for the first team again. "Maybe it's a big ask to start against Wigan, but it would be good to be in the squad and my target is to come off the bench and play a part. If not I'll be disappointed. "Through all of this, I've tried to stay positive and I felt good at the start of the season, I was playing again and scored against Chelsea. Before that I'd had a good pre-season too. "But this was just a month out, it's not like my season starts here from zero, even though I now want to play the rest of the campaign."
