Forssell Named Midlands Player Of The Year

The Finnish striker, who spent the whole of last season on loan at Blues, picked up the award as recognition of his 19 goals for the club during the 2003-04 season, 17 of which were scored in Premiership games.

Blues had secured the on-loan services of the Chelsea striker for another season but after just a handful of games at the beginning of this season he was forced to undergo a knee operation which is likely to see him sidelined until April next year.
