Blues boss Steve Bruce fears Blues face a gruelling programme in March following the recent abandonment of the game with Crewe and the postponement of the game with Bradford.
"It has left us with a backlog and I am hoping that the FA, in their wisdom, will not make us play nine games in March," said Bruce.
"If they do that it is ludicrous. To ask any club to play nine games in a month is silly as there are lots of gaps in April and I cannot understand why they cannot let us play one of those games in April.
"We hope the FA will look at it and I hope that common sense prevails. It is not our fault that we were unable to play those two games. Why penalise us?
"We are asking them if they can move the Crewe game into April if they can. That would then stop us playing nine games in 28 days which is effectively what they are asking us to do.
"We will try our utmost and I hope that common sense prevails."
