Teams from the top two divisions enter the draw at the 3rd round stage and Blues will be ball number three when the draw takes place at the FA's Soho Square headquarters this Sunday, 5th December.
Blues progressed to the fifth round stage of the competition last season before eventually being disappointingly knocked out by Sunderland after a replay at St Andrew's.
The 3rd round draw can be seen live on BBC One, immediately following their live showing of the Hinckley United v Brentford 2nd round tie, on Sky Sports News and can be heard live on BBC Radio Five Live.
Third round ties will be played on the weekend of 8th/9th January.
