Blues have conceded eight goals in their last two games away to Liverpool and Chelsea to remain on the fringe of the Barclays Premier League relegation zone. But McLeish is expecting a positive response with one more win likely to clinch safety for Blues and edge Wolves closer to the drop.
The Blues boss explained: "We always knew we were facing two hard away games and no-one had expected us to take anything. But it was disappointing to lose eight goals in two games.
"That was the galling thing for me, given the pride I've got in this team and the way they have normally defended this past couple of years.
"We were pretty naive defensively and not as solid as I've been used to seeing from this team. Their pride will have been hurting as well. It was not the team I know in the past two games.
"They are much better than that and I'm sure they believe that as well. Rather than the last two games affecting confidence, I think they will have been smarting and looking to atone this weekend."
