Izzet has undergone further scans on the knee injury that has kept him sidelined since the home game with Everton back in November, when he was shown a red card for the a deliberate handball.
The scans have shown bruising around the knee and manager Steve Bruce has said that he is hopeful that the Turkey international midfielder will be back in action in time for the Palace game at Selhurst Park on February 26th or if not then for the game against West Brom at The Hawthorns the week after.
A similar timescale is being forecast for Lazaridis' return. The Australian international wing-back has been sidelined with a thigh injury since limping off in the FA Cup 3rd Round tie at the beginning of January.
