The Blues midfielder is to be treated by renowned specialist Hans Muller-Wohlfahrt in a bid to clear-up the hamstring injuries which have blighted his short time at St Andrew's.
Dunn was sidelined for most of the run-in to last season after a hamstring tear in the FA Cup 5th round replay against Sunderland at St Andrew's in February.
He returned from that spell out with an eye-catching appearance against Arsenal at Highbury on the first day of May but finished that game having aggravated the injury again.
During the summer months he had treatment, stepped up his training and looked ready for the new campaign until he suffered another hamstring tear during the pre-season friendly with Sheffield Wednesday last week.
Early reports on Dunn's latest hamstring tear suggest it is not as bad as the one he sustained in February and he is expected to be sidelined for about a month.
None-the-less the former Blackburn midfielder is to visit German doctor Hans Muller-Wohlfahrt, who has treated sports stars such as tennis ace Steffi Graf and former British sprinter Linford Christie for injuries in the past, in his latest quest to finally put an end to his hamstring problems.
