The influential Blues midfielder has now recovered from the calf injury which has seen him miss the last two League games but he has trained all week and is set for a first team recall in the game against The Canaries.
Stephen Clemence is also fit again after a spell on the sidelines with an Achilles injury and may make a return to the squad but striker Mikael Forssell is likely to be missing having picked up a knee injury in the 3-2 defeat at Luton last saturday.
