The Blues record signing has not played since injuring his hamstring in the FA Cup 5th round replay against Sunderland at St. Andrews back on the 25th February after which it was feared he may not play again this season.
However, after almost seven weeks rehabilitation he is on schedule for his targetted return to first team action on April 25th against Wolves at St. Andrews.
In his regular column at the FA's official website, www.thefa.com, Dunn says:"I am pleased to report I should be back in training with the rest of the lads at Birmingham later this week on either Thursday or Friday.
"It will be a relief to be back amongst them. My recovery is going very well. I have been reaching all my targets so far.
"It might sound funny, but we have been doing tests to try and aggravate the injury and it seems to be responding really well.
"If this all continues, I hope to be back playing against Wolves at St Andrews on Sunday 25 April."
