The influential Blues midfielder, who managed just 12 appearances last season and has not played first team football since last December, underwent surgery to a nerve in his back during the close season in an effort to cure his on-going hamstring problems. Blues boss Steve Bruce confirmed last week that Dunn had done five weeks of intensive training and was as fit as he'd ever been so, having now been given the all-clear by surgeon's to return to full training, he could return to the first team squad in as little as two-weeks.
