The French striker has been out of the side since the home game with Blackburn Rovers on December 6th with a recurrence of the knee injury he picked up while on the pre-season tour of Malaysia.
Having been troubled by the injury for most of this seasons Premiership campaign Dugarry underwent a course of injections in a bid to shake-off the injury, the last of which he had towards the end of last week, and has now returned to light training the club have confirmed. No date however has been pencilled in for his return to match action.
Elsewhere, Martin Graingers planned comeback from his long-term knee injury may have to be put on hold once again after he picked up a thigh strain in training.
It had been hoped that the Blues left-back would play some part in the reserves game with Manchester Utd at St. Andrews next wednesday but this is now in doubt.
Grainger hasn't played a Premiership game for Blues for almost twelve months, the last of which was a substitutes appearance in the defeat to Arsenal last January.
