Nine games into his season long loan spell on Saturday, he came closest yet to opening his account in front of goal, having a header superbly saved by West Brom keeper Russell Holt, but the fact that hasn't scored for Blues doesn't faze him as long as the side are winning.
"I want to stay," Dugarry told the Evening Mail after the game on Saturday.
"I am free at the end of the season. I have a few opportunities but they are not the most important thing. I've found a family here at Birmingham. Everyone is happy and that is the most important thing.
"I've found people who trust me so I want to stay. Because I am free it is normal to have other chances to move on but if possible I will stay here.
"I am very happy. The players are very nice, the manager is very good and the training sessions are good too.
"I won't speak with Steve Bruce for the moment because we don't know if we are safe or not, but if we stay in the Premiership then I will talk with him."
Bruce has already said that if and when Blues are sure of their Premiership status for next season, that he will make signing the flambouyant Frenchman his first priority.
