Do It On Your Own Patch!

The game scheduled to be played at St Andrews on Wednesday, 28th April will now be played at the same venue on Monday, May 10th.

Villa's reserves require just one more point from their remaining two games to secure the Barclaycard Premiership Reserves League (north) title and had high expectations of being crowned champions at St Andrews on wednesday night.

However, our prayers have been answered! We jokingly said on this site that because of the implications Blues should be allowed to withdraw some of their players from international duty so as to help stop the Villa Reserves claiming the title at our ground.

Well, exactly the opposite has happened. Because of the ammount of players away on international duty and the Under 17's being in Italy for a tournament next week Blues would struggle to make a squad so an agreement has been made between the two clubs for the game to be put back until May 10th.

Hopefully now Villa Reserves will have sealed the championship in what is now their penultimate fixture of the season at home to Wolves on Wednesday, May 5th.
