He has resumed full training and reports are suggesting he has no problems with the groin injury which forced him to miss the first leg against The Lions at St. Andrews on Sunday.

"We have one or two knocks after Sunday's first leg but nothing serious," manager Steve Bruce told The B'ham Evening Mail.

"Another big plus is that Dev has returned to training, has worked really hard, and had no reaction. Hopefully he will be okay for Thursday, which would be good news."

Bruce felt that Devlin may have returned to action too early when playing in the last league game of the season against Sheffield United.

"Paul has got to be at 100 per cent to be available for selection. In this game we cannot afford to carry anyone," he said.
