"This has been talked about on and off for a couple of years now," Devlin told the B'ham Evening Mail.
"It's been rumoured before that I might have a chance but nothing ever happened.
"I've been told that Berti Vogts is going to have a look and hopefully something will come of it this time.
"I'd love the chance to play for Scotland. My dad would be thrilled, as would the rest of my family.
"They are going through a bit of a bad time at the moment. If I was to get involved and could help, then that would be great.
"Who wouldn't want to play international football?"
