Mr Gallagher has been in charge of two Blues fixtures already this season the last of those being the 2-1 home defeat against Manchester Utd last month when no Blues players were booked.
His other game in charge of a Blues match was back in September for the 2-0 away win at Leeds Utd. Robbie Savage and Christophe Dugarry were booked by the Banbury official on that day.
Mr Gallagher has refereed three Blackburn games this season, the last of those being in their 3-2 home defeat to Chelsea in February when both Tugay and Lucas Neill were yellow carded.
His other two games officiating a Rovers match was in their 2-0 away defeat at Leicester City in November when Australian midfielder Brett Emerton was the only Rovers player booked and their 2-0 home defeat to Villa in December when Craig Short was booked.
In total Dermot Gallagher has been in charge of 17 Premiership games so far this season in which he has dished out a relatively low 37 yellow cards and just the one red.
