The game at Pride Park takes place on Saturday, 6th August.
Blues' first home game of the season will be against Coventry City a week later.
Other fixtures of note are a home game against West Ham United on Boxing Day, a trip to Blackpool on New Years Eve and the final game of the campaign at St Andrews against Reading on Saturday, 26th April 2012.
