Morrison is currently third choice striker behind Emile Heskey and Walter Pandiani, a position the Republic of Ireland international is unhappy about.
Blues boss Steve Bruce has offered Morrison a new contract but he says that he will be keeping his options open and will not decide on whether to sign or not until the end of the season.
"The manager has offerred me something but at the moment I don't want to sign it," Morrison has said.
"I want to wait until the end of the season and see what happens.
"Any footballer wants to play and not just sit on the bench and at the moment I'm sitting on the bench."
Morrison is currently in training with the Republic of Ireland squad in preparation for their World Cup qualifier against Israel in Tel Aviv this weekend.
