Cisse injury boost

First thoughts were that Cisse had suffered serious ligament damage in a training ground injury last Friday, but after a second series of scans the Senegal international midfielder has had it confirmed that there is no rupture and he should be back in action in less than a month.

"We very much feared that Aliou would need an operation after he did the ankle last Friday," Bruce told the B'ham Mail

"Thankfully, that is not the case. We're looking at him being out of action for at least three weeks."
