"Christophe is a man of his word. He gave me his word that he will stay when he first walked through the door. Of course, everything hinges on us being in the Premiership," Bruce told Sky Sports news.
"But when he came here at Christmas he said 'If I enjoy it, I'll stay next year', and I don't think that has changed. I've got no reason to doubt him.
"But then when you've got 30,000 fans who really adore him, then I suppose you do enjoy it. He is a top player."
