The Charlton boss has said that Blues have "sniffed around but not done enough" to tempt Charlton to part with the player who is yet to make a Premier League start for the Addicks so far this season and is keen to leave the Valley in search of regular first team football.
Blues manager Steve Bruce expressed an interest in the 28-year-old midfielder/striker during the summer but the player sustained a shoulder injury and any possible deal was shelved.
Now Bruce has declared his interested in Euell again: "Jason Euell is someone we like and someone we were interested in during the summer before he did his shoulder.
"There is an interest there and we will see what develops," he said.
"He is someone we have got an interest in and I'm sure it will be ongoing over the next couple of weeks."
