The England Under-20 international midfielder has finally put-pen-to-paper on a contract that will see him remain at St. Andrews until the summer of 2007 - at least!
Contract talks with Carter have dragged on for the last eighteen months or so but manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that at long last the 20-year-old play-off final hero has committed his future to his hometown club, a decision that will delight most Bluenoses I'm sure.
“It seems to have dragged on for a long time and I am delighted that is has eventually been sorted," he told the clubs official website, www.bcfc.com.
"I’m from Birmingham, and I’m a Blues fan so there’s no way I wanted to leave. The club is going places and I want to be part of its future.”
