The 32-year-old former Newcastle and Tottenham defender signed an initial one month contract for Blues as a free agent February but has now signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until the end of thew season.
Carr has impressed both coaching staff and fans alike since taking over the right-back birth in the past six games and has proved almost behond doubt that he has regained his match fitness again after retiring from the game in December.
