"I am meeting the board on Tuesday and we will be talking about what we want to do. I've certainly got some names in mind," Bruce said.
The Blues boss has been left with an extremely small squad having seen nine players depart since the beginning of the season and is to hold talks with the Blues board this coming week to discuss possible transfer targets.
"The fact we are safe gives us a wonderful opportunity to do our homework now.
"We are able to target the people who could take us forward and over the summer I expect to be quite busy."
The permanent signings of Maik Taylor and Mikael Forssell are Bruce's main priorities with up to four new faces likely to come in during the summer break.
