Bruce waits on injured trio

Johnson looks like missing out
Damien Johnson, Clinton Morrison and Robbie Savage all reported back from international duty with injury problems, with Johnson the biggest doubt for the short trip to the Hawthorns.

Johnson has a hamstring problem picked up in Northern Irelands 0-0 draw with Ukraine on Wednesday night.

Morrison as a slight shoulder injury and Savage took a knock on his knee playing for Wales in their victory over Italy in Cardiff, although both are expected to be ready for action come Saturday.

"We'll give them all as long as possible, but to be brutally honest, I can't see Johnson making it," Blues boss Bruce told the clubs official website.

"He has done really well for us this season and he will be a big loss.

"Sav's got a sore knee combined with a big head after Wales' win on Wednesday!

"Clinton's got a shoulder injury which is a bit worrying because he has suffered before with it.

Blues will definitely be without Aliou Cisse and Darren Purse who are both serving one-match suspensions but Bruce does have Bryan Hughes, Olivier Tebily and club captain Steve Vickers available - all three now fit again after long-term injuries.
