"He's only been here just over a month and I can't see anything changing. He wants to play in the Premiership. "I do believe that he is enjoying it at Birmingham City and we are quite confident that he will still be with us at Christmas and then go with us for the second half of the season."
The Finland international is currently on loan from Chelsea until the end of December and Bruce is aware that clubs from the German Bundesliga, where Forssell played for Borussia Munchengladbach last season, have shown a keen interest in signing the player from the Londoners.
"I keep hearing of this interest from Germany but Mikael turned down six clubs in Germany to join us," the Blues boss Bruce told the Press Association
"He's played in Germany and then he chose us above all those clubs.
