The Blues midfielder has been plagued by hamstring injuries since his move from Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2003 and speculation has been rife that at just 24 his footballing career may be over.
Bruce has, however, rubbished such reports and whilst admitting that Dunn has struggled with hamstring problems since his £5.5million move to St Andrews he categorically denied that the injury is career threatening.
Dunn has missed Blues' last four games after sustaining a cut on his Achilles during the 0-0 draw with Southampton but he had the stitches removed from the wound at the end of last week and is in contention for a return to first team action in the away game against his former club Blackburn at Ewood Park on Sunday afternoon.
