Bruce remains upbeat

Speaking after the 3-1 home defat to the Londoners on Saturday, Bruce said: "In the first half we had the better chances and had a right good fist of it.

"But it is cruel for us at the moment because every mistake we are making is being punished. I think we didn't deserve to go 3-0 down and it was hard to believe that.

"But if we maintain the spirit of the first half and get a bit of luck then I am confident that things can come right.

"We've had a difficult five or six games against many of the leading clubs but you have to stick at it and wait for the break to go your way.

"I hate to get beaten again but it's up to me now to keep everybody alive and make sure that the whole football club remains positive.

"We've got all the bottom teams at home after the Liverpool game and if we beat them we're still in this division."

"The Blues supporters are passionate about their club and I'd like to personally thank them. They are fantastic and they will give us the edge in the big important games.

"Well done to each and every one of them and I'm sure that if we all stick together we'll be okay."
