"As far as Stern is concerned, we have received inquiries but there is nothing doing," the Blues boss told the Evening Mail. "What I have got to make sure is that, first and foremost, I do not leave myself short in any way should we get injuries and suspensions when it comes to letting my players go elsewhere. "It's not just Stern but others. A few clubs have been on to me about various players."
West Brom have recently been rumoured to be interested in one such player, Stern John, but Bruce insisted that he would like to keep all of his first team squad should injuries and suspensions mount-up.
