The Blues boss has always said that he would like to keep Nico Vaesen, Bryan Hughes and Stern John who are all out of contract in the summer. "I will be wanting answers. There has to come a time when I need to know what the players intentions are. "Ideally, I would like them all to stay but I know that they might want to exercise their rights under the Bosman ruling. "I'm sure they will have other options to consider but we will need to know quite soon once I've sat down with the powers that be to decide certain things."
Contract talks were promised with four out of contract players once another season of Premiership football was assured and following back-to-back league wins and Blues now on 42 points any fear of dropping out of the top-flight are over for this season.
One of those four, Jeff Kenna, joined Derby County on Wednesday.
"We can start planning ahead. We will address the contract situation over the next couple of weeks and we will be making offers to various people," Bruce told the Press Association.
