The Wales international midfielder, who still has another year to run on his present deal at St Andrew's, has verbally agreed on a new contract extension despite repeated interest from Everton for his signature.
"I don't want him to go anywhere but we all know the way football is, everybody has their price," the Blues boss told Sky Sports News.
"I'm hoping that Robbie wants to stay here, he's indicated to me that he does.
"There's been a little bit of contact with Everton but it seems to have died a death, thankfully.
