Bruce fears failure

Since taking over the mangers role at St. Andrew's Bruce has taken the club to promotion from the first division, and then secured 13th place in the Premiership in their first season, but the Blues boss is taking nothing for granted.

"There is one thing, and one thing alone, which drives me - phrased quite simply, it is fear of failure - and I don't mind stating that as a fact," he said.

"People might look at me and think I'm doing well. But in my own mind, I know I have a long way to go at this stage of my managerial career.

"I want that journey, at least in the medium term, to be with Birmingham. I don't lie when I say that."

Brucie is expected to put-pen-to-paper on a new, improved, five-year contract with Blues some time this week.
