The incident happened early on Saturday morning as Bruce went to investigate an alarm going off on his daughters car outside his house in Dorridge.
A statement issued by the club reads: “In the early hours, manager Steve Bruce was attacked outside his house.
“He was alerted by his daughter’s car alarm, went outside to investigate and was set upon by two men.
“Fortunately he was not seriously injured, although he was very shaken and suffered scratches and bruises around his face.
“He wants everyone to know that he and his family are fine and it will be business as usual today at the Reebok Stadium.”
