Blues to ask F.A to excuse Carter

The young midfielder has been called up for the European Championship qualifying play-offs against Lithuania.

The first leg is on April 17 with the return on April 21 in Nottingham - the same day as Blues play Sheffield United at St. Andrews on the last day of the season.

"We're going to ask our secretary, Alan Jones, to contact the FA to get Darren excused," confirmed manager Steve Bruce.
